On July 21st 2016 Matt Palka will release his third studio album, Stealing Home, which doubles as the companion soundtrack to his second novel, Baseball Clubbies. Both were inspired by his five years of running a Triple-A clubhouse and the scandalous untold story and behind the scenes adventure of minor league baseball. Book and album combined, Matt spent a decade crafting the immersive world of a struggling musician trapped inside the bowels of that lawless, testosterone and steroid fueled clubhouse.

About the record, Matt says, “Perhaps most striking is the eclectic grouping of indie roots rock songs. Unless it’s a compilation, most albums don’t transition so easily from americana, to retro blues, to reggae, to indie rock, to protest song. But that’s what I did here. I decided to dip into whatever style would best accent the novel’s moments of ecstatic bliss, heartbreak and raw passion. The album also had to reflect my younger self who was still searching for his unique voice.”
