In addition to being a recording artist, Mimi Bessette is an established actress in American theater. She will be starring as Miss Kay in the American premiere of DUCK COMMANDER MUSICAL. It's a new musical based on the reality TV show DUCK DYNASTY. It opens on April 15th at The Rio Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada and will be running for 6 months. She can be seen on A&E at the end of April in the documentary of the making of this musical. Her other credits include: Emma Parker in the recent Broadway musical BONNIE & CLYDE, Dawn and Angel in the Broadway and First National Companies of THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS and the First National Companies of BIG RIVER, PARADE and KEEP ON THE SUNNY SIDE(Maybelle Carter); Off Broadway: LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (Audrey), SMOKE ON THE MOUNTAIN (Denise), BEND IN THE ROAD (Mrs.Camille Barry) and LOVE IN THE MIDDLE AGES (Sandy). This December Mimi made her film debut in the movie musical ANNIE starring Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz. She plays The Stacks Store Woman in a featured scene with Jamie Foxx.
