Daisy is an English-born and Australian-raised singer/songwriter who has built up a media presence, peer and industry recognition and a growing fan-base in the UK, Europe, Japan and Australia Daisy is closely related to international recording star Chris Rea, her father was legendary jazz drummer Tony Hicks (Backdoor) and Daisy is an ambassador to the National Breast Cancer Foundation in Australia where she personally donates a percentage of proceeds to help raise awareness and find a cure. Her debut album entitled MISTRESS was produced by Aron Friedman (Backstreet Boys, Take That), released by Concept Music and distributed by Universal in the UK/Europe and Victor/JVC in Japan. MISTRESS was supported with the release of 3 singles to radio in these territories with extensive airplay on Radio 1, Radio 2, Capitol FM and regional stations, national TV exposure (London Today, Kelly Show and Nickelodeon) and national press. These singles also received radio airplay on some of the leading stations in Japan. Remixes of DON’T EVEN GO THERE, HOOKED ON YOU, BACK ON MY FEET and MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN were well received in dance clubs in these territories and were released on numerous compilation CDs - in Japan, many remixes were released on compilations by Avex, Dome and Brown Sugar. UK-based girlband Cookie have recently re-recorded 2 songs from the Mistress album. Returning to Australia, Daisy established her own record label called Beautiful Soul Music in 2005 and set out to record her second commercial release entitled INCREDIBLE. Daisy co-wrote the new album with George MacFarlane (Gabrielle), Malcolm Maddock, Aron Friedman (Elton John, Kim Wilde, Backstreet Boys) and it was produced by UK-based Tim Ellis (Julian Lennon). The first 2 singles were released in Australia and have already proven multiple-format radio success with IF I CAN’T MAKE IT and INCREDIBLE receiving airplay on over 150 commercial radio stations across CHR, AC, Hot CHR, Country, Gold and Easy Listening. The video for IF I CAN’T MAKE IT won 2 awards - the SILVER MEDAL for CINEMATOGRAPHY from the Australian Cinematographers Society 2006 and the Ross Wood Award for technical innovation! The next 4 videos from INCREDIBLE are currently in pre-production with the same award-winning production team and will be ready for release in 3rd quarter 2007.
