It started as a funny idea: Wouldn't it be hilarious if I recorded some of the songs that made us all cringe and performed them as if they were the most profound works of art? The answer turned out to be "yes, and..." They also turned out to be remarkably poignant and beautiful. I started inviting friends to join in. Luckily I know some of the greatest musicians on the planet. Pretty much everyone I asked was happy to contribute. Among the people on this CD are Eliza Carthy, Tony Trischka, Anne Hills, Mark Cosgrove, Natalia Farran, John Kruth and many more. As the scope of the project grew, more and more people wanted to get involved. It turns out that lots of people have their secret guilty pleasures. This CD is just one of an ever growing collection.
