Willie Luis Mercado, J.O.T. (JUST ON TOP) Flames, born on September 18, 1983 was raised on Hip Hop and living life in the hood. He comes from a proud and strong unit where family is wealth and life. Willie is known by his family as the stabelizer, the back bone and the future. Willie demonstrates his strong latino and african blood as he transforms it through his lyrics of knowledge, poetry, street-life and love. Straight out of South East San Diego Ca, Willie surpassed the violence and defied the statistic for failure that which surrounded him day by day. Instead, Jot Flames ran the streets rapping, D.Jayed and break dancing at local house parties with his boys with the dream of making it big one day. Childhood inspirations include Tupac, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Michael Jackson, Snoop Dog and Prince just to name a few. Jot Flames kept his focus on his dream of creating his own versus of life. Jot Flames is sweeping the streets of San Diego as a local rap artist, performer, music engineer, and producer making San Diego, "Daygo" as he would call it, live up to its name. With his catchy lyrics, major league swagger, witty punch lines, and perfected delivery, Jot Flames continues to be an all around crowd pleaser headed straight for stardom and fame. Repeated requests and the love of his fans has led to Jot Flames hit debut singles such as "Toss It Up" 2006 and "They Mad" 2007 to be played on local hit radio stations such as Blazin 98.9, Jammin Z90, and on Satellite radio stations as well. Jot Flames is featured on Lil Uno's "Dago's Finest Vol. 1" cd released everywhere in 2007 through Universal and Sicko Records. The cd features his hit single "They Mad". Jot Flames continued the hype of his hit single "They Mad" produced by "El D-Dub" while collaborating with 5150 films and director Jordan Stadefer to release a follow up music video. Followed by new promotional singles in 2008, "Got Me Stuck" produced by "Erupt" (www.mainbeatz.com) and "Look at my Charm" f/ Young Dro of T.I.'s Grand Hustle Records; which are already getting radio play and requests on the new hit world premier show Jelly Radio. Through his website and numerous album and mix tape features, Jot Flames is already buzzing from coast to coast.
