This bittersweet "Charlie Music" gem, in terms of fluidity, musically, is among Charles Ecker's top songs, without a doubt, thanks in large part to producer Stacy Hogan of 'A Writer's Paradise' in Nashville. And the story-telling is cogent and compelling, articulated in studio by Mike Lusk, with a surprise appearance, that brings down the house at the end, by Amber Rose, also a regular with The C.R. Ecker Band. What she sings is stirring and powerful with just a few simple words to complete the tale! Ecker, mostly on his own, has composed what will now be his 23rd country song with "When I Walked with You." And it comes not long after he took the stage to receive the first and only "Career Country Songwriter Award" covering the 25-year history of The Los Angeles Music Awards. American blues and country music critic Douglas Dickens has said: "If Charles wins any more awards (over 20 so far) there won't be anymore for the rest of us." Needless to say, The Akademia Society has placed "When I Walked with You" in nomination for 2017 "Outstanding Country Song." It is indeed a winner!
