Tristan Grant: A First Nations Mi'kmaq rapper from Pabineau First Nation in New Brunswick, Canada. An unlikely source for a rapper; emerging among an Atlantic crowd, but I've got a lot on my mind and something to say. I'm a reporter, journalist for the world around me, how I was raised and how I have persevered among the challenges life has presented me. We are not alone in this journey of life. Life as an artist has always been the primary goal and thought in my mind. I am an artist; not just in music and rap but in all forms I can possibly get involved in. My sound and my music is always a dual relationship between the extremely personal and the relocatable. Honesty is key and that's always been what I try to convey in my music. It exists as a means of expression for me to shout to the world about what's going on in not just my own life but the world around me. This is what my sound has evolved into, deep interpersonal tracks full of heavy drums and atmosphere to place the listener not just into a song but in an entire world of feeling.
