简介
Lynette Diaz is an American-born, New Zealand-based Singer-Songwriter with a voice and style that evokes flashes of female folk singers of the 60’s. while writing contemporary themes of Universal love and dignity. Lynette sings with a fiery voice that she attributes to her Mexican-American roots. “Music comes through me, it’s a passion, it’s heart-filled, it’s fun, it’s all rooted in my upbringing around a hodgepodge of various styles of music from 60’s and 70’s folk/country, contemporary acoustic music, independent singer-songwriter, even 80’s techno and traditional Mexican folklore music.” 'Me For You, You For Me' was born from a Universal understanding of Community and dignity. "One person can make a difference in the world and many of us, resonating with the spirit of social and moral justice, can create positive large-scale changes." This song came about when my musical circle in Christchurch, New Zealand asked me to submit a song for a compilation Cd about our community. Although many of the individual artist's songs are about a general place of community, the song that came to me was more about a space of Universal community. In keeping with the community theme, various local musicians accompanied me. The guitar work was done by Graham Wardrop, one of the finest finger-style guitarists in New Zealand. Diana Hickey, a talented singer-songwriter, lent her voice for background vocals, and Arnie van Bussel of Nightshift Studios helped it all come together in the production.
