I wanted to take this opportunity to make a difference with my voice, cause I want a better life for the poor all over the world and for my Country, but it doesn't have to be at the expense of millions of lives in my homeland i want to free up all my people, nobody deserve to be poor but living a better life, living with happiness an joy. I don't think anybody born rich neither poor you must remember we become from nothing and going to nothing.. During the second reign of former president Jean-Bertrand Aristide, Elonege parents decided to move to the capital Port Au Prince to seek a better life for their son Elonege and his other siblings. It was during that time while living Port Au Prince Elonege developed a love for music at very young age, voicing over songs from both reggae and RNB artist. Which was to the disapproval of his mother who insist on her young son getting good a education while growing up on traditional Haitian culture, and the only music he was allow to listen was compass direct which was a Genre of music originated in Haiti, growing in a Roman Catholic family he was ban from attending or watching carnival events or even Rara which is one of the biggest festival just before Easter. In 2000 Elonege life was about to undergo a major change when his family was re-located to the United States of America. After moving to the States Elonege met good friend Pierre who gave him the name Donelo which means Respect the Head Creator. Growing up in Miami Florida he went on study computer engineer and studio recording. In era when the hardcore flavour party reggae also known as dancehall music took over urban radio in 2003 -2004, Miami based Haitian Reggae/Dancehall artist Donelo decided it was time to seek stardom. The way Donelo saw it, "dancehall was nothing' but bass reggae music with hardcore lyrics." Donelo knew if he put his mind to it, he can do the same as other famous artist form Haiti such as The Fugee’s who have carve out a name for themselves within the entertainment industries around and have collaborates with many reggae/dancehall artist such as Jr. Read and Bounty Killa. Drawing is Inspiration from God just like his Idol “ Papa Doc”, in late 2004 Donelo went on to produce and released his first single “ Mande Man” and by the turn of 2007 he went on to produce and released his first solo album by the same name. Donelo popularity continue to grew during the turn of 2008 with the Creole and French community world wide with the released have several tracks such as “ Vlope Vlope”, “Nou Pa Pe” and “Lavi Drol”. Donelo skills and passion for music have leaded him to performed all over the USA, in places such as New York, Orlando and Georgia to name a few, and his also feature on hot remixed “ Waistline Crazy” with Dancehall artist Tenza, which gave him a lot of publicity in the Africa and European music scene. Donelo as also work with two of the UK leading record label in Suncycle Digital who produces for the likes of Movado, Vybes Kartel and Jason Derulo to name few, and with TMD records who is one of the most excited reggae label in Europe to date.
