简介
The life of "Blue Hill" is one that starts with the birth of a lyricist. Born Devin Cryor on October 19th, this West Philadelphia native knows all too well the struggles of the streets. By the age five, Blue turned to the streets in search of guidance that he couldn't find at home. So the legend begins.... Sent from home to be raised by his great Aunt and Uncle at the age of ten in the Southwest part of Philadelphia, Blue released his emotions of feeling alone and unwanted through his music. At the age of twelve, Blue wrote his first song (in its entirety), "Victim of the Ghetto." He performed the song at his school's talent show, totally crushing it and winning over the crowd. Inspired by the crowd's great response and rap legends, Notorious B.I.G and Jay Z, he turned to hip hop for good. By the age fifteen, Blue was a permanent fixture in the neighborhood battles. At seventeen, he signed his first recording contract with a Philadelphia underground recording label as one of a two man group known as D.M. After recording one album and being robbed by the label, Blue parted ways. Afterward, Blue began his start as an independent artist freelancing with other known Philadelphia hip hop artists such as Pooda Brown, L.P. and countless others. Blue's next recording project came when he was twenty-two, recording a six-song demo for his personal enjoyment. This led him to perform on the New York Up and Coming Tour and signing with Gifted Sounds Mangement and Entertainment. Stay tuned to hear The Chronicles of Blue Hill: Chapter I. Blue Hill's got alot to say.
