简介
Bob will thrill you with his natural feel for a variety of different musical genres influenced by his early classical training, rock, jazz and gospel. His easy connection with audiences creates a rapport with his music that is at once familiar, but quite uniquely his own. Bob’s Asian/Irish multi-racial background influences his distinctively diverse musical style as well as his own special perception of culture and connection. Bob Baker began his professional music career voted top trombone soloist at the Wichita jazz festival in 1971. He toured with Jerry Lee Lewis and later joined the group MS Funk, based out of Chicago, as a brass player and keyboardist. He toured for several years in MS Funk under the stage name “Chaz” Baker, dedicating himself to keyboards, digital pianos and synthesizers. Bob has performed and recorded with a wide array of famous musicians including Tommy Shaw (MS Funk, Styx), Dan Fogelberg, Mark Andes (Firefall, Heart), Larry Stewart (Airborne) and Rosemary Butler (Jackson Brown, James Taylor). He has recorded at Paragon (Chicago), Paramount (LA), Widget (Muscle Shoals), Northstar (Boulder), Applewood and Caribou (Nederland) recording studios. His new CD "The Romance Language of Music" is just the beginning of great things to come.
