While driving one day, I began to think about how little people know about the love of Christ—even Christians. The many scriptures about God’s love for people who don’t know, and many cases don’t care to know anything about Him began to run through my mind. It was as if I could hear Him saying over and over again, “If they only knew.” Immediately the lyrics to this song began to flood my heart, and “If You Only Knew” was born. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
