Southern California hip-hop artist Absent Minded started out by spending years competing in freestyle competitions and performing live. Combining sharp underground hip-hop with humor, Christian faith, and honest talk about life and culture, Absent Minded's debut project, 2005's The Motivational Speaker, features a variety of creative, avant-garde beats mixed with wordplay, emotional stories, and fast-paced lyrics. Absent has toured across the country and shared the stage with like-minded artists including Kurtis Blow, Man of War, The Procussions, LA Symphony, Mars Ill, Ahmad, Grits, Propaganda and Lightheaded. He's appeared on projects with Pigeon John, Braille, Lee Green, Sintax the Terrific, DJ Form, and others.
