Second addition to the home audio stable is refinery with an ep entitled Boxed Trifecta Refinery is the combination of two talented electronic musicians from Lexington, Kentucky: Mutt has been an electronic music enthusiast since that time he listened to Kraftwerks's Autobahn on the way to Colorado with the fam back in 1984. From that moment on, he knew that music would never be the same again. For all that's possible in that new realm of music, he decided that house music was the pinnacle. He picked up a set of tables around 1994 and started playing out across the midwest. Knowing that just playing records would not fully satisfy, he knew that learning production was the goal. He met up with the Reverend T, scene promoter and classically trained musician, in 2001 and realized they shared the same dream. This was when they created Refinery. As they were both very influenced by the Chicago house and Detroit techno scenes, their music reflects both sounds in combination with a healthy laid back Kentucky vibe."
