Joshua Carlos

Born on April 8, 2001 in Abu Dhabi , UAE . He received his first guitar as a gift from his parents at the age of 4. At the age of 7, he was inspired to play guitar after he had seen a guitar player from the famous child series “The Wiggles”. Soon after his parents met a friend who happened to teach kids and adults to play musical instruments and Joshua was enrolled in the class. Joshua was 10 years old when he played “La Bamba” by Los Lobos at a party and a friend of his parents were forming a rock band and just needed a lead/rhythm guitarist. So they invited Joshua to jam out with the band. It turns out his bandmates went to the same music school as he did.

The band mostly played classic rock (Journey, Guns N’ Roses, Loverboy, Boston, etc.) In the year of 2011, Joshua found another interest which was to play drums and percussion. He was inspired to play drums when he saw a drum cover for “Bangarang” by Skrillex on YouTube by an Atlanta drummer named “COOP3RDRUMM3R” and a drum cover for “Almost Easy” by Avenged Sevenfold covered by a South African drummer named “Cobus Potgieter”. Joshua got his first drum set about a year later in 2012 when he was 11. He learned to play drums by self-studies.

Joshua has been signed to the CAMCo label and his first release is a song written by Joshua “Forevermore.”
