A collaboration of electronic pop-rock/downtempo headed by singer Emily Zuzik (Moby, Blue Man Group, Solid Stone) and bassist/producer Tim Lefebvre (David Bowie, Tedeschi Trucks Band, KNOWER). Produced by Lefebvre, co-produced by Gary Novak and mastered by Nate Wood. Biography: Emily Zuzik and Tim Lefebvre met while recording Zuzik’s debut studio album, You Had Me At Goodbye, at Bushwick Studio in 2005. From that musical introduction, the two went on to write and record their own first record, Domestic Blitz, which was released in 2010. They have collaborated on a number of recordings and live performances over the years and are currently teamed with drummer Gary Novak (Chick Corea, Alanis Morrisette, George Benson) to form Angelenos and record its debut record coming in 2016. Emily Zuzik (Singer, Co-Writer) Emily Zuzik is a Los Angeles singer-songwriter and veteran of live performance from her career spanning San Francisco, New York City and Austin. In September 2013, Emily sang in two sold out shows with Blue Man Group at the Hollywood Bowl. In 2011, Emily was a featured singer and cowriter of "The Low Hum" on Moby's "Destroyed" album as well as the featured vocalist on the theme song to NBC's comedy Love Bites. She has toured extensively across the US and UK. She has sung in acoustic folk cafes, lead rock bands, fronted cover bands, worked with some notable electronica producers (Moby, Jimmy Lavalle (The Album Leaf), Solid Stone (Toronto), REfix (London)) and licensed numerous works for TV and film. She has released over six records and also has 4 co-written songs on the upcoming Will Pharaoh album, Sexsax on Sing Engine Records, among other collaborations. Emily’s music has appeared in the CW show Smallville, MTV’s hit Catfish, The Nate Berkus Show, XOXO Betsey Johnson, BRAVO's Flipping Out, National Geographic Channel's indie wrestling doc, Slammed, Amsale Girls, film releases Spring and Free the Nipple, the Cuba Gooding Jr. film Ticking Clock and the indie film Fifth Form. A proud Epiphone Guitars endorsed artist and 2005 calendar girl, Emily released her debut solo album, The Way it's Got to Be, in February 2003, which received praises from NYC's The Village Voice and Time Out, as well as Performing Songwriter Magazine's Top DIY Picks, November 2003. Emily has been featured in publications such as ICON Magazine, GO! NYC Magazine and Women Who Rock Magazine. Emily's song "That's the Way" was a semi-finalist in the JANE Magazine Readers compliation in 2004, and also appeared as one of IGN for Men's "Babe of the Day". Tim Lefebvre (Producer, Bassist, Co-Writer) Rocketing between New York and Los Angeles, Tim Lefebvre is quickly carving out a bold and progressive vision of what a contemporary bassist can and should be. Fashioning a leadership role in avant-garde jazz and funk circles, Tim is also a capable and reliable sideman routinely called upon by today’s leading innovators from across the musical spectrum including: David Bowie’s Blackstar album,Tedeschi Trucks Band (his full-time gig), Chris Botti, Toto, Sting, Uri Caine, Dave Binney, Donny McCaslin, Mark Giuliana and Donald Fagen. A native of Foxboro, Massachusetts, Tim majored in both political science and economics before earning his gigging stripes, on of all places, a cruise ship, thankfully not the Carnival “Triumph.” Once back in port, Tim dove headlong into New York’s burgeoning underground live electronica and jazz scenes, exposing himself to some of the city's most progressive players including drummer Zach Danziger and the legendary guitarist and former Steely Dan sessions player Wayne Krantz. Tim’s career began to skyrocket when he subbed in Saturday Night Live’s house band, quickly catching the eye of television and film executives, soon landing playing and writing roles for shows such as “The Sopranos,” “30 Rock,” “The Apprentice,” and “The Late Show with David Letterman.” Tim performed on a number of movie soundtracks including "Oceans 12," "The Departed,“ “Analyze That!” while composing music for “Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle,” “Please Give” and commercials for Microsoft and Chevrolet.
