Mary Hoffman is a remarkable singer/songwriter out of Mesa, Arizona. When she was fifteen, her mom brought home a pawn shop guitar that was meant for Mary’s older brother. He wasn’t interested in the guitar, but Mary sure was. Her Mom gave it to her and Mary never put it down. Mary learned how to sing while learning how to play the guitar. She didn’t perform in front of anyone, at that time, because she had too much stage fright. As time went on, Mary heard Jewel’s “You were Meant for me” and fell in love with the song. After months of practice, she learned the song. Mary fought back the stage fright and she sang it at her high school talent show and was known as the ‘Jewel girl’ from then on. After that, Mary was hooked on performing. She started playing at every open-mic night she could find and eventually got booked at some of the venues. She continued to perform while going to Arizona State University and got a degree in Communication. She even won the ASU Idol competition in 2004. When she graduated from ASU, Mary figured it was time to think about a “real” job. Mary landed a job, but after working for about a year, Mary gave it up to pursue music. She has been playing music full-time ever since and never looked back. Music is her passion and she can’t see herself doing anything else. Mary has been a country music fan ever since her parents got cable and she saw the Martina McBride video of “Independence Day” in 1994. Ever since then, Mary has been glued to Country Music. She has been the warm-up act for many country artists through the years, including Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Gary Allen, Easton Corbin, Phil Vassar, and Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband. In 2012, Mary won a "Sing with Sugarland" contest and had the privilege of singing, "Baby Girl" with Sugarland at their "In your Hands" tour stop in Phoenix, AZ at the Ashley Home Store Pavilion. In 2014, Mary and her band won the KMLE 108FM Battle of the Bands and won a spot on the Main stage at Country Thunder in Florence, AZ and got to warm up for Cassadee Pope and The Band Perry.
