This is the debut EP from The Jist, released January 20th, 2014. All songs were written and recorded by Jake Weissman and Tony Trinchini. The creation is comprised of rock, swing, jazz, blues, surf, new wave, punk, psychedelic, electro, trip hop. drum&bass, funk, gospel, indie, soul, lo-fi, hop, alternative, neo-soul and garage influences.

The Jist was formed by Trinchini, 19, and Weissman, 16, in 2013, after having played music together for a couple of years beforehand. After playing primarily blues based material, the two ventured into genres ranging from Trip Hop to New Age. Plum: The EP harbors a new sound, which captures each of the Jist's influences. The entire EP was recorded within the homes of both members.
