James started tattooing at 14 years old, and continued his tattooing career until he was 18 years old. While tattooing he began to dream of a career in the music industry. After hooking up with a local producer, James started recording mixtapes. Months after that he started booking shows. While slowly building a following, James created a slogan/movement #YNT which stands for "young n' tatted", a label that represents the tattooed and body modified cult that has recently became popular with today’s young generation. He then hooked up with some notable photographers and started modeling his tattoos and unique look exploding his image to over ten thousand followers on Instagram in a very short amount of time. His followers consist of dedicated fans in Europe, Los Angeles, and Miami. James’s fan base then began to grow into a cult following, and he knew he needed a sound to support this newfound popularity. Taking the advice of friends close to him, James began to seek out a veteran producer named Synbeatz (twitter @synbeatz, instagram @synvisual). Syn was a studio owner/former Hip Hop producer who has worked on many different industry projects related to DJ Drama's Aphilliate DJs, and has produced tracks that have featured Crime Mob and other notable industry hip hop stars. James walked into Syn's studio and almost immediately Syn knew there was something special about this kid. Syn had many connections and knowledge of the industry, and was just beginning to experiment with electronic music, more specifically Dubstep. Syn finally had a catalyst to spark his newfound love of EDM. Syn began to develop a unique Hip Hop/Trap-Step driven sound for James and would go on to produce his entire debut album along with several music videos. Syn also referred James to other talented people that would help the movement and slowly they began to develop a Dream team consisting of Detroit native songwriter Rahm Kely and Promoter/Tastemaker Fernando Lopez of Beautiful People Productions. The debut album entitled “I am James Dennis” is slated for a release date of August 13th, 2013 and is commonly referred to as 8X13X13. The first single off the album entitled “Dabs” will be released the same day along with the music video. Music will be available on itunes, Amazon, and other digital outlets.
