21 Days was my very first concept album. It was mid-january 2007- I had just returned from the US, from Denmark and from Holland. I had experienced some succes at a music showcase in Holland, and life and my prospects with music, were exciting and adventurous! And here I was returning to my everyday life in Cologne and it seemed pretty dull. My daughter Mira-Belle had gone away to live with my parents in Copenhagen for 3 months, to go to Danish school, so for the first time in my adult life, I was on my own, just me, no responsibilities, no picking up from school, nor going to the art academy where i studied. No getting up in the morning, I was free to be me and stay up and play and compose all night. So it took a little getting used to it ... I must say I really enjoyed it! The process. On some days I would start at 11 at night and work till 6 in the morning. Other days I ended up working all day on one song. And then I uploaded it to my MYspace site, www.myspace.com/alicerosemusic, and wrote a little blurb about it, put up a picture or a computer drawing, and left it up there till the next night, when the same procedure was followed. Unfortunately I didn't save those blurbs. At the very end of the 21 days I finsihed the booklet and here it is... I decided to release it in an ultra limited edition of 21 copies, and later added 21x 21 copies, meaning 442 copies all together. I hope you will enjoy it... THANK YOU!
