Hiya! I'm Papa Crow from Marquette, Michigan, and I specialize in thoughtful and silly original songs for kids and families. Following up my second full-length album is this unique EP "Their Heads are Green & Their Hands are Blue". I stumbled upon the poetry of 19th century writer Edward Lear and quickly wrote music to five of his wide-eyed and whimsical poems. Edward Lear was famous in his day for writing silly limericks and poetry. His most famous poem, "The Owl & The Pussycat" is included here as well as four other fantastical poems. I read a lot of his poems and these five nearly wrote themselves musically! I decided to record all of them live in my home studio (no overdubs!) using my 1947 Gibson acoustic. Also, I decided to sing each poem exactly as written--there was no need to alter them to make them into Papa Crow songs. I had a blast reviving these classics for today's families and I hope you and the little ones dig 'em!
