Aaron Stephens wants to make music for your soul. He strives for it. He grew up listening to his parent's old Motown and other soul records. Music that symbolizes more than just a style or genre, but a spiritual and life-changing journey. Aaron started writing songs and playing guitar at the age of thirteen. By sixteen he was playing shows weekly around his hometown McAllen, Texas. After a couple years of playing at various venues around the Rio Grande Valley, Aaron made the move to San Marcos, Texas where he could attend college and be close to Austin's music scene. He now plays shows regularly throughout the area and is known for getting the audience's attention with his soulful voice and insightful lyrics. His sound is a mix of soul and folk, sang over skilled guitar playing. He is influenced by artists like Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder, and John Mayer. Aaron Stephens has a great unique sound that deserves a listen.
