简介
‘Emancipate’ started to be developed right after the launch of ‘The Unmasking Reality’, Desecrated Sphere’s debut álbum from 2011. Saulo Benedetti, drummer from Gustavo Lozano’s hometown and longtime friend, came to fill Rodolfo Bassani’s drummer spot, as Rubens Fraleone, session guitarist for ‘The Unmasking Reality’ joined the group full-time. This five-piece worked for ten months, beginning in December, 2011. Songs were worked and perfected in a very detailed fashion, with all the members giving input about all of the aspects: instrumental, vocal, lyrical, graphical. In pursue to create a really solid final product, It was decided to have a more ‘positive’ speech in most of the tracks, marrying it to the instrumental composition and exploring different themes than before. Heterophony and polyphony were employed in many passages, in place of the more commonly present Homophony, giving new depth to the sound. Desecrated Sphere produced ‘Emancipate’ in studio during the months of November, December 2012 and January 2013. It was decided to go with an already been a winning combination: the album was to be recorded in Área Livre Studio, São Paulo – Brazil, with producer Tomaz Ribeiro and assistance from the band members themselves, and mixing and mastering to be done by Andy Classen from Stage One Studio, in Germany. For the artwork, it was chosen Raphael Gabrio to work over concept created by the band. Scheduled to be launched in mid 2013 via Eternal Hatred Records, Rapture Records and Digmetalworld Records, the first virtual single ‘Departure from Flesh’ is launched, already giving a hint of what’s contained within the eleven tracks of the full album.
