World class percussionist Gary Stanionis is no stranger to the Contemporary Jazz scene. He has been Jackiem Joyner’s touring percussionist since 2006, and is a first call percussionist and drummer for some of the most legendary musicians in the smooth jazz genre, including Greg Manning, Vincent Ingala, Oli Silk, Will Donato, Steve Oliver and DW3 to name a few. After more than 15 years of working with these and many more great musicians, Gary has decided to make his move and take the stage as a solo artist with his debut single “Hey Lady”. This HOT Latin track was inspired by his beautiful wife Johanna and features Gary’s signature world percussion playing as well as his (direct from his mentor Ricky Lawson) drum set groove!
