Mary Murphy makes a connection with her audience, often interacting with humorous anecdotes and improvisation while performing concerts, dinner shows and private parties throughout New England. She belts out a rollicking blues on "Hiding In The Dark" then walks you at a comfortable pace from jazz to folk with "Essence of Eden", "To Sacramento" and "Around You". "Midnight Dream" takes you to a tropical paradise where you can visualize and relax. The quick-paced instrumental, "Minutes" picks you up only to lull you into the eerie a capella "Song For Moose". (Artists note: The title comes from when I actually sang this tune to moose as sited in Maine and New Hampshire. They were a good audience and wouldn't leave until I uttered my last tone) The ageless "Music For All The Good Lads & Lasses" belongs in the home of everyone who loves musical variety.
