The Acacia Strain, who recently parted with longtime guitarist and songwriter Daniel "DL" Laskiewicz are all geared up to drop their first release with the new lineup come this December! Above/Below, a seven inch featuring two new tracks will be released on December 3 through Rise Records with a single planned for sometime this week. Itll be interesting to hear where the band go without DL, considering this is their first release ever without the guy. Hes been touted as one of their main songwriters, so the prospect of new material is both exciting and a little scary. Im hoping for a return to form ala Continent given the riffs on that album are great, though retainment of the Death is the Only Mortal-brand of heaviness would be badass too.
