JillyMae started off in music at a young age with a love for musical theatre...Playing lead and chorus roles throughout the years, Jilly branched off in a new direction in her sophomore year in high school. The writing of "Take me with you" began when Jilly first picked up an acoustic guitar and fell in love with it. She wasn't good at it by any means at first though. Starting off on the drums at age 12, bass guitar at age 14, piano and singing since she could talk. All the songs on the album were about the tough and good times she went through with her boyfriend, and also a song dealing with the loss of her grandparents, there is a song on this album for everyone.
