Chuck Darwin & The Knuckle Draggers are known for their eclectic live shows - high energy romps through a wide range of styles for a wide range of audiences. The members themselves boast a wide range of influences. This project came about in a not so typical fashion. We were approached by our friend Paul C. at Academy for Media Production in McSherrystown PA. He wanted to introduce his students to the traditional means of recording music - few/no overdubs. Whole takes. Single/ensemble mic placement. Old school to the fullest. Chuck Darwin's live shows are performed around one mic, making us a perfect candidate. "For Educational Purposes Only" is dedicated to the students who helped produce the album for us during class, along with the guidance of K.C. Jones.
