Monroe Brown is a mainstream alternative rock band from Albany, Georgia that has been together since March of 2000. Monroe Brown was featured on Farmclub.com in December of 2001, Garageband.com feature artist in May of 2004 and March of 2005, Kings of A&R and A&R Watch.com feature artist in August 2004 Monroe Brown released the album "Whatever It Takes" in January 2005 which features songs produced by Pete Thornton (Shinedown, Limp Bizkit, Cold) as well as 3 tracks produced by Morgan Rose and John Connolly of Sevendust, including the single "Sink Low" which received more than 1000 spins in 5 months on Real Rock 97.3 (WRAK) in Albany, Georgia. "Sink Low" became the most requested song on the station for 6 weeks in a row. "Sink Low" was also Audiopages, a south Georgia magazine, #1 song of 2004 and "Whatever It Takes" was the #4 album of the year. The success of "Whatever It Takes" has landed Monroe Brown opening spots at some of the biggest shows in the South, such as Earthday Birthday 11 in Orlando, FL., Florida Music Festival 2004-2005, RealRock Fest 2003-2004 in Albany, GA. and ...On the Bricks in Atlanta, GA. Monroe Brown has also shared the stage with many national and regional bands, such as Sevendust, Trust Company, Crossfade, The Exies, Socialburn, Element-80, Puddle of Mudd, Hatebreed, One Less Reason, The Offspring and many others. Monroe Brown is currently receiving full rotation on Real Rock 97.3 in Albany, XM Satellite Radio and x101.5 in Tallahassee as well as specialty spins on Real Rock 101.1 in Orlando, Gulf 104 in Tallahassee, 99x in Atlanta, 95.1 The Fox in Montgomery and various other stations throughout the South. Monroe Brown plans on shopping major labels in the 4th quarter of 2005 and hopes to release the full length album the first quarter of next year.
