Here's a new collection of songs from the singer-songwriter corner of my heart. It's sometimes a little confusing for people to learn that a sax player is also really seriously earnest about this musical genre also. The thing is my brain is a little like a Ouija board. I'm never sure where it's going to land. For this, my second album I chose to venture into the land of introspection. Woodwinds, acoustic guitar, and saxes seemed to provide a nice tapestry for the lyrics and the emotions I wanted to convey. Throwing caution to the wind and making a very deliberate effort to not try to impress anyone I kept things simple when simplicity was just fine. There's even an instrumental here where singing words just wasn't necessary. This is an attempt to do something a little different that the first-time listener will totally get. Next time will probably be a something else. Not sure how yet. The Ouija board will figure it out.
