Lead track 'Boxed' is unrelenting in its build, raw vocals underlie a thumping drumline with spacious atmospherics that carry this rolling techno number into oblivion. 'Shimmy' is raw in every sense: a direct, minimalistic kick surrounded by simplistic hats, claps and percs allow a warm frenetic bass line, spacious stabs and even more titanic synth work shine through! On remix duties, Brazilian Kleber [Italo Business/Killer Beats] brings the samba to Boxed's ferocity. And Matt's fellow Australian, Sebastian Bayne [IF? Records/Kisu] sees out the EP with an undeniably monstrous and dark techno remix of Shimmy.
