Prairie Fire is an acoustic band from north-central Oklahoma, whose blend of folk, bluegrass, and country music emphasizes timeless values with youthful vibrancy.

The band is made up of six members - Amy Ballinger (lead vocals, harmony, mandolin), Ashley Ballinger (lead vocals, harmony, guitar, and mandolin), Abby Ballinger (bass), Luke Ballinger (guitar), Hannah Ballinger (harmony vocals, fiddle), and Josiah Colle (fiddle, banjo, percussion, and vocals). As children, all of the band members studied classical piano and gradually began studying secondary instruments at an early age. In 2007, they transitioned into bluegrass and, since then, have performed in Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, and Texas. In 2011, Prairie Fire performed as the youngest paid band at the 40th Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas and, in 2012, placed third out of nineteen bands in Silver Dollar City’s KSMU Youth in Bluegrass Band Contest.

With a focus on faith and family, Prairie Fire seeks to encourage listeners through lively instrumentation, rich vocal harmonies, and songs, both old and new. Above all else, they desire to glorify their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through the gift of music, pointing others to Him in Whom we have joy, life, and hope.
