简介
Instrumentals and vocals by Kevin Stewart with addition of Siwen Deng's Chinese Erhu on "Lonesome Town." From Gold Record winner and a Royal Performance at Wembley Arena, recording artist Kevin Stewart has produced projects in 31 venues in 10 states and 7 countries. Kevin programmed, played, engineered, and mastered all tracks on this collection. When Bill Thompson was working with Stewart to fine tune this collection a realization hit him. These songs were inspired by a great poet, none other than William Shakespeare. They spoke of a “bard,” “roses,” “escape,” and “broken hearts.” They included lines “to be or not to be” from Hamlet and “the coward dies a thousand deaths” from Julius Caesar. Here then is a collection inspired by the Bard and helped by co-authors indicated. CD Cover is a sketch of 1789 English statue by Thomas Banks. Shakespeare is sitting upon a rock with goddesses "Painting" and 'Poetry" at each side. Poetry is presenting him with a wreath, a token of poetic eminence. Painting, with palette in hand, is pointing him out as a genius who deserved to be glorified. The head of the poet is turned towards Poetry with a look of satisfaction as his hand is placed on the shoulder of Painting. The goddesses have elevated Shakespeare to his heights as the world's greatest poet much as muses have lifted the composers of these 14 songs into the realm of adoration of the Bard himself. Thanks to Kay Thompson, Fion Chong and John Wiles and Siwen Deng for supporting this creation with knowledge and love! We thank you!!
