At the age of sixteen, inspired by The Beatles, Brad started writing songs. They were mostly about love -- searching for, finding, and losing -- with some novelty tunes added now and then. The title of this album is not meant as a putdown, but rather a tribute to Paul McCartney, who wrote Silly Love Songs and was proud of it. Whether these songs are Better than McCartney is irrelevant, although they may be as good as some of Paul's recent material. In any case, they are meaningful to Brad, for they combine a love of The Beatles with his romantic soul. Here's hoping others can enjoy and be moved by them.
