简介
Anne Marie’s new CD, Turning Home, includes a mix of original songs and instrumentals. Three songs: Home to Stay, Child’s Simple Praise, and Skating at Twilight with long-time collaborator Sara Hunter (Click here to read more about “Skating At Twilight” and the origin of this special song written with her niece, Sally King). These songs bring to light the joys of childhood, the homeward yearnings for her Minnesota Christmas tree farm, and the sense of home that can only be found in a filled-up heart. Anne Marie’s music becomes magic under the skilled production of world-renowned producer Bill Elliott, who previously worked with such diverse artists as Bonnie Raitt, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Nicks, Michael Feinstein, and John Lithgow. With the talented acoustic trio that includes Duke Levine (Aimee Mann), Kevin Barry (Paula Cole), and Mike Rivard (Shawn Colvin), this collection releases the best of these musicians through well-crafted songs and tasteful performances. With Anne Marie’s voice and signature piano, this collection rings from the heart. Anne Marie David (USA) is a Boston-based pianist and singer/songwriter who has independently released six albums. Her angelic voice and inspired piano playing were apparent in her childhood in rural Minnesota. The third of ten children who accompanied their mother, a parish music leader, David showed her independence in soaring adaptations of church piano standards - a trademark of her early self-produced solo piano albums, which include "The First Morning," "Here I Am, Lord," and "Prayer of St. Francis." Anne Marie David (USA), is a Boston-based pianist and singer/songwriter, not to be confused with the French pop singer of the same name.
