Nick is a guitar player, singer, songwriter and music teacher. He grew up in South London learning to play various instruments and generally impressing his neighbours with irregular 90’s drum fills. As a young man he spent some time teaching music in the inner city, before gradually gaining the confidence and ability to perform outside of primary schools to larger and significantly older audiences. In 2009 he recorded a 5 song EP with Ben Lovett of Communion, and with a little help from his friends began to develop his voice and guitar techniques, striving to sit somewhere in between the tapping brilliance of Andy McKee and the wonderful melancholy of John Martyn. To focus his skills, in 2010 he went to live an isolated and inventive lifestyle in the remote landscapes of New Zealand. Here he developed and refined the songs for his debut album ‘Chimera’, which was recorded by London’s bat-eared producer Nick Trepka. More recently he has been playing festivals, with appearances at Glastonbury and Wilderness and gigging extensively around London and the UK. His debut album ‘Chimera’ is out now featuring collaborations with Ted Dwane of Mumford and Sons and Emma Gatrill of' The Mariner’s Children.
