简介
Shack Music’s offshoot UGH comes correct with another stellar release this time from Urbanheirs stalwart and one of Chicago’s unsung heroes in Craig Alexander! “Beautiful Soul” is a jacking piece of dancefloor mayhem in the true essence of the Chicago sound, almost Detroit but definately House! The Old Skool Soul mix is exactly that, tried and tested by a select few its purely heads down peak time business! On remix duty a true Chicago legend Anthony Nicholson aka Miquifaye flips the script with his blazing signature sound taking it deeper and jazzy for the spacier heads making perfect use of Lah’s vocal! Craig Alexander has been a staple in Chicago House Music for over 20 years. His love for the music began in the early 80s when he attended The Muzic Box where he heard the Legendary Ron Hardy play for the first time. Listening to Ron helped him develop a style all his own that has rocked dance floors all over the world. Initially starting out as a promoter he quickly began manning the decks as a headliner as more people caught his sets! Anthony Nicholson aka Miquifaye is deeply rooted in the movement of taking music and art forward in the city we call Chi-town, across the globe and around the world. He fist came to fame when he met Ron Trent and started releasing records under various pseudonyms such as Urban Sound Gallery and African Blues on the hugely sought after and influential Prescription & Clairaudience labels. Anthony's solo career really began to take off with his 'Dance Anthology' release on Peacefrog in '98. Since then he has gone on to record under his own name for Nite Grooves and Recreation, as well recording under the Jumbo Life monika for Clairaudience. In its infancy UGH is carving a niche within the soulful deep house fraternity as a label to watch! Featured Artists so far have included Seed Allstarz, Quentin Harris, Shawn Ward, Demarkus Lewis, Mr V, Kemistry, GrooveNauts and Jay Tripwire!
