For eighteen Christmases, Los Pajaros-a Brampton, Ontario-based family parang group-has evoked the festivity of this time in the hearts of Trini-Canadians and brought the warmth of the season to wintry December days. In 2007, we produced our best-selling first album "Dance de Parang" to great acclaim from parang enthusiasts all over the world. This new album showcases the band's first soca-parang composition, which is the title track "Los Pajaros, We Parangin'", as well as "Bhat Bhaji"-another original addition to the chutney-parang genre. We are dedicated to preserving traditional parang and spreading the joy in the United States and Canada, but acknowledge that parang must be dynamic and continue to evolve not only with the soca- or chutney-fusion, but also with instrumentation and recording technologies. We dedicate this album to our fans and parang lovers everywhere, who encouraged us and clamoured for that second recording. Come parang wit' we!
