简介

Lory Lacy began her career as a flutist in Los Angeles in the 1990's, after receiving a Master of Music Degree with a 4.0 average from the San Francisco Conservatory. For her undergraduate work, she attended Oberlin Conservatory, and then transferred to the Peabody Institute in Baltimore, finishing her Bachelor of Music degree with High Honors. Her jazz and rock groups have played in the Los Angeles area and festivals across the U.S. Her jazz quartet played on CNBC's "Power Lunch" in 2001, and her rock single, "Alien Water Sky", can be heard on Jim Ladd's Los Angeles-based radio show, "Headsets", on 95.5, KLOS. She released a jazz CD in 1996 called As the Crow Flies, which has played on L.A.'s premier jazz station, 88.1 KLON (now KKJZ), among others nationwide. Her CD appeared in JAZZIZ Magazine with excellent reviews, and was featured on JAZZIZ On Disc. It was recently reviewed in "Emerging Music" by Kansas City's Peggy Eldridge-Love on Bella Online. Her work as a studio musician can be heard on the Disney Channel, BET, and The Fox Movie Channel. She has recorded with many of L.A.'s top musicians, including Matt Sorum (Guns & Roses, The Cult), Kim Stone (Spyro Gyra, The Rippingtons), Brian Bromberg, Tony Guerrero, and Chris Standring. She has also played with some of the L.A.'s top bands, including Supreme Beings of Leisure ("Catch Me", from Divine Operating System), Illogical (Peter Gabriel tribute album), The B-Side Players, The Hot Rods, and Sounds of Ceviche. She currently has her own hard rock band in Kansas City called Firebox.
