And before all of this it was the best friends in the world anyone could have asked for in Kentwood and Lowell Michigan that made me need to one day obtain a purpose and voice that can help bring us all together. I'm not gonna lie it took my father Kerry Lohr to escape my poor future in Michigan to experience the joy of music, it took one of the most serendipitous and greatest friends in the world Colby Heber to bring to life the reality of my life making music, then an entire year of, yea i'm just gonna come out and say it, growing pot in California, isolating myself with an insane responsibility and little promise but the hope of freedom and the self assurance that i could come home and bring people together. #AMWAYGRANDPARTIES I was alone getting worked like a ****ing dog with no fight for it's bone just the subservient trust that everything would be fine. And it was. I eventually gained the resources to achieve musicianship. Something I never could have achieved in Michigan. And if you don't know why i couldn't have done so in my home state just ask anyone who knows what it was like in Michigan struggling to even find a job at McDonalds. Then i put my heart and hard work to the test with my first intuition of beats and I bought all the equipment space for a year that allowed me to somewhat professionally convey my music live. Then it took the return of a true best friend, you guessed it, COLBY HEBER to take me around the country to test myself to see if I even had it in me to learn how to use a Mac book and Garage Band. I remember the moment i had to become a producer. Colby just threw his mac book on my bed and said "It's yours"(meaning don't ****ing bother me any more about recording you or anything musical in fact after a 12,000 mile plus tour.) It took a year of experimenting from scratch, going to Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival and Electric Forest 2016 to realize there was a community helping people make music better. It took several friends allowing me to stay with them and work on music for basically free of charge. IT TOOK ALL OF YOU TO HELP ME OPEN FOR PAPADOSIO. It took 9 more months of playing shows around the community of Wilmington, collaborating with several amazing musicians to finally care enough about me to want to fine-tune my production and have it stand out and be remembered. It took love from so many people, I'm not gonna lie, my first independently released album may not be perfect, but it is my first album. Thank you to so many people for all you help.
