‘Shauna LaShelle’- A name that you will know, and that you will never forget. Charismatic and bold, Shauna LaShelle has much to share with the world expressing her versatile flow and styles that are filled with uplifting messages of love, joy, inspiration and encouragement that every age can relate to! Born as Shauna L. Altman from Garner, N.C., she started singing at the age of 5 years old. As she continued to grow in music, she expressed interest in joining the church choir. From there and throughout the years, she grew from the little girl that was” too young to join the young adult choir” to the dynamic and spirit-filled praise team leader for the young adult and adult praise teams, as well as a director for the youth and adult choirs. Shauna LaShelle has sang in various churches, talent shows, baseball games, employer picnics, weddings, pageants and other events in the U.S. She was also chosen to perform during the finale show portraying the great Aretha Franklin on a Carnival cruise line in 2008. She has won 1st place in numerous pageants, as well as in employer talent shows, which include GlaxoSmithKline. Shauna LaShelle wrote her first little tune when she was in middle school, but never really challenged herself to write anything else until 2005, when she was influenced by a close friend at the time to birth the inner passion and gifts inside of her regarding music. From there, she began to write lyrics when inspired, and has since written numerous songs that will be featured on her forthcoming album in Spring 2013 such as ‘So Grateful’, ‘Hiding Place’, and ‘Rest’ . On the upcoming self-titled album called, “Shauna LaShelle”, Shauna has played a vital role in the production of the project as well. She is one of the three founders of Promise Land, which produced her album, and includes her two other partners and producers, Glenn I. Williams (G-Will) & James Perry (J.P.). ‘So Grateful’ is the first cd single promoted by the trio, and MUCH more is is to come! Truly, this is the season for Shauna LaShelle to go forward in her gifts, as well as share with the world the diverse expressions of God through her being as a living vessel for Him.
