Patrick Roberts - International Recording Artist. The Global Violin Sensation Patrick Roberts Patrick Roberts’ interest in music was evident at the age of five, when he was playing songs from memory. An early introduction to the piano was soon put aside when the mystique of the violin caught his attention. The violin quickly became a way of life and his passion. By age eleven he was performing at concerts and insisting on demonstrating his talent in front of any large audience of family & friends. His Mother and Father encouraged Patrick to continue this love of music and performing by introducing him to the National Boys Choir. Patrick sang with the Choir for 4 years before leaving to pursue a focused musical journey with the violin. By eighteen he was a regular radio and television performer with the Violin. At the same time, his musical education continued at Melbourne’s acclaimed Conservatorium of Music, studying with some of the greats of the violin. Patrick then went on to teach and lecture “Violin Technique and Performance” at the Conservatorium. Patrick’s classical training and passion for the instrument intensified, as did his love of performing as concert, radio and television producers took advantage of his flamboyant style and obvious joy during each performance. Patrick is now known as ‘Australia’s Internationally Acclaimed Violinist’ and is best known for his contemporary renditions of popular classical and musical compositions. The recent release of Patrick’s new album Vision, has propelled Patrick’s touring schedule throughout the Polynesian Islands, New Zealand, Asia and the USA. Proceeds from Vision, a charity album, raises valuable funds for Vision Australia to assist the blind and vision impaired. This album is available in record stores throughout Australia and internationally. Patrick has been very committed to charity with a full range of live and televised performances for The National Stroke Foundation, The Cancer Council, The Royal Children’s Hospital and Vision Australia. Patrick’s recent self-titled concert at the prestigious Palms at Crown Casino (Melbourne, Australia) was a tremendous success, validated by a standing ovation and invitation to return in concert. This concert was accompanied by support act and Australian Icon Daryl Braithwaite. With multiple performances on every major television station in Australia, particularly Carols By Candlelight (Nine Network) and a regular performance on The Good Friday Appeal (Seven Network), there was no surprise when Patrick received an invitation to collaborate with award-winning Producer Gareth Cousins (United Kingdom.) Cousins has produced albums for artists such as Bond and Vanessa Mae (selling 1.7 million and 8 million copies consecutively, worldwide). Patrick’s new single, 'ONE WORLD' which is geared for mainstream radio, with an album soon to follow. Patrick recently had the honour of being sponsored by world renowned string company Pirastro. Patrick is very honoured to now be listed amongst the greats of the Violin; Maxim Vengerov and Joshua Bell.
