This is the first in a series of workout mixes curated by Marie Claire magazine's resident DJ Chris Lawhorn. Primarily, it was assembled using the feedback from the users of the workout music database at RunHundred.com. The plan was to try to move slightly away from the techno cover songs that usually dominate these sort of albums. Instead, a host of DJs and bands were employed to put together something that sounds more like a mixtape you’d make for a friend–but without the slow songs.
