John Lingard is an England-born singer-songwriter, whose move to Australia as a child caused him to connect with music – a constant in his changing environment.  Moving to Melbourne to study became his conduit to the big bad world, where John found himself surrounded by the friends and experiences he missed out on by moving around earlier in life. He began turning these experiences into songs releasing his debut EP ‘Stranger’ in 2008, recorded at Woodstock Studios with Robin Mai (John butler Trio, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Killing Heidi).  2009 saw John begin his journey into the live scene performing as a solo artist. His second E.P 'Forest For The Trees' with band 'John Lingard & The Foreign Hearts' was recorded at Atlantis Sound (Phill Calvert) in 2011.  John’s altruistic nature has afforded him stories and observations worth telling. His songs overflow with honesty and empathy that connects with audiences. Recent adventures have seen John in the Telstra Road To Discovery Grand Final event at Tamworth in January 2013 as well as alongside Kylie Minogue in her top four on the Voice Australia 2014.
