简介
Who is RBSB? Rock Bottom String Band is a high energy roots music band born from a series of backyard jam sessions in January of 2013. The intention behind forming the band was to play a gig at their favorite hometown dive The Triple Crown in San Marcos, TX. Well, RBSB did end up getting that gig at The Triple Crown and hundreds since. Through hard work and shear determination the band has surpassed their own expectations and earned a reputation as the feisty, up and coming band to watch in the underground roots music scene. What does RBSB sound like? Their wide range of influences includes Bluegrass, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Punk, Metal, and Classic Country. They make themselves apparent in the band’s sound and set Rock Bottom apart from the rest for the crowd. With a vast variety of content and tempos Rock Bottom String Band can tailor their sets to fit any event, from a family friendly backyard bbq to the rowdiest of barrooms. However, one element remains constant Rock Bottom String Band brings the party! RBSB can get the toughest of crowds on the dance floor and to the bar. Where has RBSB been and Where are they headed? The band has shared bills with some of the biggest names in the underground including the Dead Kennedy’s, Split Lip Rayfield, Possessed By Paul James, and Scott H. Biram to name just a few. They also have played some of the best internationally known festivals in their genre including Muddy Roots, Moonrunners, and secret sets at Old Settlers Music Fest. Now RBSB has set their sights on going full-time and touring the nation, and is currently working with the international road dogs Urban Pioneers on launching a new “anti record label” called Uprooted Records. "Rock Bottom String Band is SO BADASS! Mackenzie Dart’s voice is like lace soaked in the blood of a riverboat flapper. There’s a bit of vinegar in it and a whole lotta mystery. Meanwhile, Tara Miller is one of the best damn washboard players out there. I bet she could make a crowd dance with a rusted can and a broken stick. LOVE LOVE LOVE." -Pattytempleton.com
