This album was created in the scenic mountains of Asheville, NC. Our home (or nest as my wife Stephanie calls it) is located on a wooded ridge with bountiful wildlife, streams and natural beauty. Winter brings the anticipation of the first snowfall that will canvas the mountains. Carrot-nosed snowmen have been known to magically appear in our front yard. Yes, the Blue Ridge Mountains are an idyllic setting to create music, but the central inspiration for this album is gratitude. During my musical journey, I’ve had parents and instructors who sacrificed to provide my training. Countless listeners have encouraged me with selfless kindness, boundless generosity and genuine love. These acts of giving represent authentic Christmas spirit. While recording this album, I remembered those gifts, hoping that Christmas spirit would be captured and reflected in the music. With immense delight, I offer Hammered Dulcimer Christmas: Volume II.
