简介
A master of both classical and jazz guitar, Andrés Prado has found success in South America and England, and is now set to conquer America with his intensely emotional music. His first solo album released on RPM Records; Chinchano features Andrés exploring his classical and folk roots. Joined with fellow Peruvian Julio “Choco” Algendones on percussion, Chinchano digs deep into Peruvian rhythms and styles, transporting the listener right into the heart of the South American country. Each song has a history rooted inside of it, such as the stand out track “Chincha”, which takes its name from the small South Peruvian village which was settled by African slaves. The music is inspired by a traditional Afro-Peruvian dance called Festejo, which means “a joyous celebration.” Chinchano stands out as a unique album from a unique artist, whose life-long learning of jazz and deep rooted spirit in Peruvian rhythms have come together to blend a beautiful album of inspired compositions.
