These songs were recorded back in 1989. I first released them as an LP. The origional tapes were ruined in a flood a couple of years later. This Winter I dug out one of the old records and had it made into a cd, crossed my fingers that it wasn't too warped to come out OK. Well, it turned out pretty well. So here it is, remastered and ready to pop into a cd player. The music is arranged by my good friend and incredible jazz keyboardist, John Novello, accompanied by Eric Marienthal on sax, Jamie Glaser on guitars, Rex Robinson on bass, Dave Crigger on drums, Michael Fisher on percussion, Gloria Rusch and Marin Parsonet on background vocals. So this collection of origional songs is very different from my other cds which are more accustic guitar and piano.

The songs are about my life. Back then I was living in LA. I was young and life was very much an adventure of extremes. Discovering myself as a writer and becoming addicted to the potential of making sense of my world by the alchemy of weaving rhymes with music.
