The Nigerian born writer and performing artist, SIMISOLA BOLATITO OGUNLEYE, is the last and only female child amongst four children. The 21 years old music genius and Covenant University Mass Communication graduate started singing for fun when she was 8 years old, becoming more serious about singing after writing her first song two years later. Even in her earliest years, Simi displayed a propensity for creating musical rhythms and melodies that attracted family members to participate in the shows she would hold in her family living room. In her early teens, Simi joined a group called Outstanding. At first, the group was focused on dancing and rap but later evolved into a group of singers, doing a couple of recordings and performances in small shows. Eventually, it was decided that Simi reach her potential as a solo artist. In 2009, Simi was discovered by the U.S.A based Nigerian C.E.O of First Concepts International Limited, Osmond Oyagha, who was immediately attracted to her unique voice sound tone and quality. Currently, Simi is working on the release of her debut album. Her singles Ara Ile and I Do have been massive hits in Nigeria which have lead to official remixes of the songs in South Africa and Japan as well as a writing deal in the United States. Currently, Simi is working on her 2011 album release.
