简介
Hitmakuzz Productions, established in 2000, was incorporated in St. Louis, MO by Christopher "KID" Robinson, a classically trained violinist (since the age of 8) and degreed audio engineer. Upon graduation from Webster University, Robinson took an internship with Phat Buddah Productions, St. Louis' premier recording studio, where he was quickly hired as a full time audio engineer. He has recorded and worked with the likes of artist such as: Ron Isley, Rick Ross, David Banner, Lil’ Scrappy, BMF, all of the St. Lunatics and Chingy to name a few (and that’s it for the name dropping, lol). Robinson was featured in an article of the St. louis Riverfront Times about Phat Buddha Productions in April, 2006 (http://www.riverfronttimes.com/2006-04-05/news/hip-hop-hippies/). In 2007, Robinson took a break from the music to begin a new career as an Air Traffic Controller for the Federal Aviation Administration and start a family. Like many musicians, Robinson's passion for music, specifically his own music, has never ceased and towards the end of 2011, he made a concerted effort to give his dream one last push. He reinvested in his music by building a complete recording and production studio in his home, reconnected with his old HMK artists from St. Louis and Houston, acquired some new HMK artists in Chicago, and began feverishly tracking out beats and recording songs. In the past year, Robinson has been working on a hip- hop fusion album called UNORTHODOX with the collection of HMK artist from St. Louis, Houston and Chicago. UNORTHODOX can be described as a current version of the classic hip-hop that gave birth to the genre, old soul rhythm and blues, authentic house music vibe, splashes of rock with live electric and bass guitars throughout and comedic skits that gel and compliment the album. UNORTHODOX was recently completed, mixed and mastered and need-less-to-say we are all very pleased with the finished product and excited to share it with all those that appreciate and listen to super good music.
